Shannon's Guestbook
I just read your story Shannon and you inspired me so much. I'm African-American and O+ and because of you, I will most definitely be donating. You're an angel for sharing, being precious and in your short life, allowing the world to share in God's gift. Rest peacefully with no more pain. Thank you for your story.

I was in Shannons class from 3rd grade to 5th grade. She was a very talented young girl that I often shared my food with. She always had her mind set on being a star. As my mom says " you are the star" . You did your very best in you fight and we are proud of you. We love you Shany Banny and can't wait to see you again one day!!

Love you and miss you always :) Jodi

I saw Shannon in the Lion King on Broadway in early March of 2010, right before her diagnosis. My 5 year old nephew was diagnosed a month later, he passed away in February of this year. Always remembering our angels who fought the good fight. May her memory be a blessing.

I am so sorry for your lose. I was my sister's donor on July 15 of this year. So far things are ok. She is an incredible fighter. I wanted to let people know that donating your marrow (for me) has had no side affects. I had the surgery on a Friday and was walking around the next day. I was given pain meds and only took 3 pills when I was uncomfortable in the 2 evenings following the surgery. We are certainly in need of more donors and I wanted to share my story to say for such a small donation the ability to save a life is incredible! I truly am sorry for your lose. I will now always keep shannon in my thoughts!

Hello,
I just watched the Wendy Williams Show and the Mom of Shannon spoke about the Shannon Share Foundation. She mentioned that there are not enough Minorities in the donation bank and I felt compelled (as I am Black), to sign up and be a bone marrow donor. I am a brain tumor survivor and fortunately for me it was benign. The medical conditions said that I would not be eligible donor but it is still just as important to me and I understand the severity so I will spread the word to friends and family to become donors.

Warmest Blessings,
Tawana
